Adrian M. Alden is a civil litigator and construction lawyer who offers clients efficient and proven advocacy strategies to resolve construction legal disputes.

Adrian joined Sportschuetz & Company as a litigation associate in November 2023. His main areas of practice are construction litigation, civil litigation, and resolving construction law and construction contract disputes. Adrian helps senior counsel represent regional and national developers, general contractors, trade contractors, material suppliers, consultants, and construction management firms. During his articling year, he focused solely on civil litigation and strives to continue to sharpen his advocacy skills. Adrian frequently registers and enforces builders liens, using every available procedure and remedy under the British Columbia Builders Lien Act. Adrian has advocated on his clients’ behalf in a number of interlocutory hearings and during trials, both at the Provincial and Supreme Court levels. Adrian’s consistent drive and steadfast commitment to service excellence makes him a key member of our team of construction lawyers. 

Adrian received his Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law in 2022. During law school, Adrian was a research assistant to two corporate law professors, interned at one of Canada’s largest credit unions, and volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and Pro Bono Students Canada. Prior to law school, Adrian completed his undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University. Adrian’s financial acumen and customer-facing roles prior to law school arm him with unique interpersonal and advocacy skills.

A lifelong Vancouverite, Adrian benefits from his deep network of business and industry connections. In his free time he is an avid soccer player and manages a local men’s soccer team. Adrian is excited to help serve our clients’ needs and to expand his construction industry network.
